Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what you may and may not do on the Kreditspark platform. Violations may result in account suspension, legal action, and reports to the authorities.

📋 Plain-English Summary

Kreditspark is built for real people saving together. Use it honestly. Do not use it to hide money, run scams, or deceive other members. If you do, we will freeze your account, report you to the EFCC/NFIU, and pursue recovery of any funds obtained fraudulently.

1. Permitted Uses ✅

You may use Kreditspark to:

  • Create or join legitimate Ajo (rotating savings) groups with friends, family, colleagues, or community members.
  • Send gifts or "water" amounts to other Kreditspark users' wallets.
  • Make and receive P2P loans with members of your shared Ajo groups.
  • Top up your wallet and withdraw funds to your verified Nigerian bank account.
  • Complete identity verification (KYC) as required for each feature tier.
  • Raise disputes for legitimate payment or conduct grievances.

2. Strictly Prohibited Uses 🚫

2.1 Financial crime

  • Money laundering — using Kreditspark to layer, place, or integrate funds derived from criminal activity. This is an offence under the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022 (MLPPA). We are required by law to report suspicious transactions to the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).
  • Terrorism financing — funding, facilitating, or promoting any act of terrorism or any organisation designated as terrorist by Nigerian law or international bodies. We conduct sanctions screening against OFAC, UN, and Nigerian government sanctions lists.
  • Tax evasion — using Kreditspark transactions to conceal income or assets from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) or any other tax authority.

2.2 Fraud and deception

  • Ponzi or pyramid schemes — structuring any arrangement where returns to earlier participants are funded by contributions from later participants with no legitimate underlying economic activity. Kreditspark Ajo groups are not Ponzi schemes — every member contributes and receives their turn; there is no promise of returns beyond what all members contribute collectively.
  • Identity fraud — registering with another person's identity, BVN, or NIN; impersonating another user or a Kreditspark employee.
  • Providing false KYC information — submitting forged, doctored, or otherwise false identity documents.
  • Group organiser fraud — creating an Ajo group with intent to abscond with contributions or manipulate the collection order for personal gain. All contributions flow to Paystack-managed group wallets; organisers cannot redirect funds.
  • Phantom group creation — creating groups to generate referral rewards or test the platform without genuine participation intent.

2.3 Platform abuse

  • Attempting to access, modify, or extract data belonging to other users.
  • Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or scraping the platform.
  • Submitting automated or scripted requests (bots, crawlers) without written permission.
  • Conducting denial-of-service attacks or attempting to overload our infrastructure.
  • Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities for personal gain. (We operate a responsible disclosure programme — contact security@kreditspark.com to report vulnerabilities.)
  • Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension, bypass KYC limits, or abuse referral/reward programmes.

2.4 Harmful content

  • Posting or transmitting defamatory, harassing, or threatening content to other users.
  • Sharing other users' personal or financial information without their consent.
  • Uploading or linking to malware, phishing pages, or other malicious content.

3. Consequences of Violations

If you violate this policy, we may take any or all of the following actions:

  • Immediate account suspension — access to your account and wallet is frozen pending investigation.
  • Permanent account termination — your account is closed and your BVN hash is flagged to prevent re-registration.
  • Fund freezing — funds in your wallet and any group wallets you are party to may be frozen until the matter is resolved.
  • Regulatory reporting — suspicious transactions are reported to the NFIU. Fraud is reported to the EFCC. Terrorism financing is reported to the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
  • Civil recovery — we will pursue recovery of any funds obtained through fraud or breach of these rules through civil proceedings.
  • Criminal referral — where criminal conduct is identified we will cooperate fully with law enforcement.

4. Reporting Violations

If you believe another user is violating this policy — or if you have been the victim of fraud, harassment, or misconduct on the platform — please use the in-app dispute system or contact us at:
